This is a fixed‐price service, and our minimum charge to examine a computer experiencing hardware
issues. Our diagnostic fee does NOT include parts, or labor for replacement. Even if no trouble is found
with your hardware, you will still incur this fee. This service includes the following items:

• Confirmation of symptoms
• Testing and isolation of defective hardware devices
• Contacting of product vendors to do any other diagnostic steps, and/or warranty replacement
• Research non‐warranty replacement part availability, firmware/driver updates
• Completion of a parts/labor estimate for the repair or replacement of the defective device

If you are upgrading your hard drive for more capacity, or you simply want an exact duplicate of your hard drive for backup purposes, this is the service you want. Your existing (source) drive can be cloned directly to your new (destination) drive, or we can make an “image” of your source drive that can be stored on a USB/Firewire or similar external storage medium. We may not be able to clone your drive if it is not in good operating condition. We will NOT be able to clone your drive if it has completely failed to operate. CLONED DRIVE IS INTENDED FOR USE IN IDENTICAL HARDWARE CONFIGURATION. You have two options for drive cloning:

This service includes up to two hours of labor to remove any spyware, adware, or malware of any kind that is detected by our soaware tools. In rare cases, if an infection is so severe that is requires more than two hours to fix, a complete operating system reinstallation may be necessary. In this case, with your approval, we will proceed with a complete operating system reinstall for an additional $79.
Limitations: We cannot guarantee removal of malware. Service only offered for Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 or greater.

An operating (OS) reinstallation can be necessary in the event of a major virus infection, or when a hard drive completely fails and the OS needs to be installed on a new drive. Some people may elect to have their OS re‐installed for performance reasons, or when reliability has degraded to a point where troubleshooting the issue may be more expensive than simply reinstalling the OS. In order to perform this service, we will need your operating system CD and product key. This service includes installing the operating system, operating system updates, and hardware driver installation (excluding printers).

We will upgrade your computer with more memory, install a wireless card, modem, video card, or CD/DVD drive for a low, fixed price. Or we can replace your failed notebook LCD or motherboard. Upgrade and replacement fees are per item and do not include parts or shipping costs.

WARRANTY
All repairs performed by the CCS are subject to the CCS 30 tiay Guarantee/Warranty amached to the CCS Repair Order Form. In cases where parts were replaced by CCS, the new part is subject to the CCS 90 Day Guarantee/Warranty. Please review the CCS Guarantee/Warranty for details of coverage and limitations on liability. If your machine develops a new symptom within the 30 day period after your machine was repaired, the new symptom will be treated as a new repair, and incur our usual and customary charges. This Warranty does NOT apply to Spyware/Virus Removal services or any other soaware‐related services. Warranty does not cover obvious or suspected damage to hardware
caused by customer.

TURNAROUND TIME
CCS makes every effort to troubleshoot every machine that enters our shop within 24 hrs. However, due to periods of increased workload, it may take longer to contact you with a diagnosis. Generally, LCD replacements, notebook motherboard replacements, or other major repairs may take 2‐4 days to complete aaer parts are received. Most repairs, drive clones, data backup/restore, spyware cleanup, OS installs, and similar services take 24‐48 hours. A time estimate will be given when you drop your machine off.

I authorize CCS to repair my equipment. Unless I am only having fixed‐price work done on my equipment, I understand that the cost of repair is labor plus parts. The labor rate is $95 per hour for drop‐off services, and $135 per hour for on‐site services. There is a $49 per‐unit diagnostic fee that does not include any repair work, even when a problem cannot be located. Any equipment not claimed within 60 days of repair becomes property of CCS and may be donated, recycled, or sold. All work performed by CCS is subject to the CCS Guarantee/Warranty amached to the CCS Repair Order Form.
